Word Verification

Yesterday, I saw a post on Permission to Mother about word verification. I had not thought much about it other than how annoying it is to have to do it when I'm commenting on someone else's blog. I do it anyway because I like the interaction. It didn't occur to me that other people would rather just not comment! So to make it easier for everyone, I've changed my settings to NOT have word verification, and instead I will be moderating comments. I would still like the option to filter out spam and scary postings. I hope this makes things easier for everyone. I love receiving comments because it lets me know that I'm not just talking to myself!

I get about 50 spam comments every hour without the word vertification :( and by the way yes public outings are a totally different story. I would never take my girls to things where they would ruin older kid's times.

Hi, thanks for the comment. I do knit as well - but I'm a beginner at both. As far as I can tell, I usually prefer the texture of knitted things for clothes etc. but I much prefer to make large things, like blankets, out of crochet. That's why you don't see much in the way of knitted stuff on my blog - I usually worry that I will spend all that time knitting and the clothes won't fit...

I learned to knit from a dvd beginner pack aimed at pre-teens that I bought at Target. Knitting's pretty easy to learn, as it's really just the two stitches.
