Everyday Treasures

My daughter is 4 and she speaks well for her age. Some words she uses, though, are not quite correct in the pronunciation, and others are bigger words than I expect her to use. (I'm left scratching my head - where did she learn that?)
  • debana - banana
  • declection - collection
  • "like" - Valley Girl speak. Seriously?
  • abley - be able
  • dabloon - balloon
  • nasty
  • DIZGUSTING
  • gross
  • "Do you/Would you demind?" - Do you mind?
  • "I'll demind you" - I'll remind you
  • bedding - the veggies you put on tacos (lettuce, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, etc)
Whenever I ask where she learned a particular thing, she says "On my belly screen." She watched ONE episode of Umizoomi 6 months ago when we were on vacation. Apparently, one of the characters has a belly screen and it helps the characters learn what they need to know.

I was recently inspired (again) to take note of my everyday treasures. This may become a regular feature or not. For now, it's fun.

What are some of your everyday treasures?

I love toddler/pre-school speak. And I could sure use some "demind"ing right about now!
