Christmas Picture Books

Books we enjoyed during Christmas 2010:

  • The Nutcracker by Susan Jeffers - Beautiful illustrations, and it tells the story in a simple way so that a 4 year old can follow along. It is not so long that it can't be read at bedtime. Monkey Georgia loved it.
  • Shall I Knit You a Hat? A Christmas Yarn by Kate Klise - Little Rabbit enjoys his new hat that Mother Rabbit made so much that he insists they knit hats for all their friends. The illustrations are vibrant and the message is that it is better to give than receive.
  • Merry UnChristmas by Mike Reiss - We actually forgot to read this one even though we had it checked out for a while. It looks cute though and I want to check it out again next year.
We would like to enjoy these again this season.
